Patna DM Reviews Key Schemes; Over Rs 1,199 Cr Sanctioned Under Student Credit Card Programme

Patna DM Dr Thyagarajan SM reviewed the District Registration and Counselling Centre (DRCC) and its schemes, including the Bihar Student Credit Card Scheme, Mukhyamantri Nishchay Swayam Sahayata Bhatta Yojana, and Kushal Yuva Program. He noted Rs 1,199 crore sanctioned for student credit cards, benefiting over 35,000 students.

Patna DM Dr Thyagarajan SM on Monday reviewed the working of the District Registration and Counselling Centre (DRCC) and the schemes it operates. The review aimed to ensure smooth functioning of government initiatives under 'Aarthik Hal, Yuvaon ko Bal' in Patna.

During the visit, the DM reviewed schemes including the Bihar Student Credit Card Scheme, the Mukhyamantri Nishchay Swayam Sahayata Bhatta Yojana (Chief Minister's Self-Help Allowance Scheme) and the Kushal Yuva Program (Skilled Youth Programme). These schemes are run under the 'Aarthik Hal, Yuvaon ko Bal' (Economic solution, youth strength)  objective of the Viksit Bihar 'Saat Nischay-3' (Seven Resolves-3) initiative.

The DM stated that under the Bihar Student Credit Card Scheme, an amount of Rs 1,199 crore has been sanctioned by the State Education Finance Corporation as of December 31. During this period, 35,277 student credit cards have been issued. He directed the swift processing of pending applications. 

Under the Mukhyamantri Nishchay Swayam Sahayata Bhatta Yojana, 37,548 applications have been approved, and a sum of Rs 49,10,81,000 has been transferred to the accounts of 35,409 beneficiaries, while under the Kushal Yuva Program, 136,093 applications have been approved, of which 96,901 young people have completed their training.
