The Patna Metro project has achieved another major technical milestone, bringing residents closer to a reliable urban rail network. Work is progressing rapidly toward starting operations on the stretch from the Inter-State Bus Terminal (ISBT) to Malahi Pakri, with significant infrastructure goals met this week.

Electrical Infrastructure Milestone At Malahi Pakri

In this sequence, an important task related to the electrical infrastructure at the Malahi Pakri metro station was successfully completed on Tuesday. The work of charging the transformer in the Auxiliary Sub-Station (ASS) room at Malahi Pakri metro station has been completed. This is being considered a major technical achievement in the preparation for metro operations.

Expected Launch By Late February

Following this success, there is a strong possibility that metro rail services from ISBT to Malahi Pakri will commence by the end of February. The formal announcement of the metro's inauguration date could be made at any time. In the coming days, after the completion of technical tests and safety inspections, this new section of the Patna Metro will be opened to passengers.

The Role Of The ASS Transformer

The transformer installed in the ASS room is a crucial part of the metro station's electrical system. This transformer converts the high-voltage electricity supply to the voltage level required for the safe and smooth operation of the metro. It ensures an uninterrupted power supply to the station's lighting, escalators, lifts, signalling system, ventilation and other essential services.

The successful charging of the transformer has confirmed that the main electrical preparations for metro operations at Malahi Pakri station have been completed. According to officials, this achievement is a clear indication of the readiness and continuous progress in the metro project's electrical infrastructure.
