Railway department is set to implement direct train services from Ara to Katra. The Rajgir-Katra Summer Special (Train No. 03221/22), operating under the Danapur Railway Division, will run from April 14 to June 30. This train will depart from Rajgir every Monday at 2:00 PM, passing through Ara Junction at 5:13 PM and Pt Deendayal Upadhyay at 8:00 PM, before reaching Katra at 1:30 PM on Wednesday via Jammu Tawi at 10:55 PM on Tuesday.

On the return journey, it will depart from Katra every Wednesday at 4:30 PM, pass through Jammu Tawi at 6:10 PM, and reach Pt Deendayal Upadhyay at 8:00 AM, Ara at 10:30 AM, Patna at 11:50 AM, and finally arrived in Rajgir at 3:00 PM.

Additionally, the Rajgir-Rishikesh Summer Special (Train No. 03223/24) will operate every Friday from April 11 to June 27. It will leave Rajgir at 6:05 AM, stop at Ara at 10:23 AM and Pt. Deendayal Upadhyay at 1:00 PM, and reaches Rishikesh the next day at 8:30 AM via Haridwar at 6:35 PM. 

For the return journey, the train will depart Rishikesh every Saturday at 6:00 PM, pass through Haridwar at 6:40 PM, stop at Pt Deendayal Upadhyay at 1:00 PM the next day, Ara at 3:20 PM, Patna at 5:10 PM, and arrived back in Rajgir at 9:00 PM.
