MCX Gold, Silver Rate Today: Gold and Silver prices fell significantly in the domestic and International futures market amid escalating war in the Middle East. Gold Futures, June 5 expiry, fell over Rs 3,500 to an early low of Rs 1,50,145 per 10 grams as compared to the previous session's closing of Rs 1,53,708 on Multi Commodity Exchange (MCX).

Similarly, Silver futures, May 5 expiry, dipped Rs 13,600 to an early low of Rs 2,29,888 per kilogram from last day's closing of Rs 2,43,501.

Last seen, MCX Silver was trading at Rs 2,30,353, down Rs 13,148 or 5.4 per cent. MCX Gold was quoted at
Rs 1,50,260, down Rs 3,448 or 2.24 per cent.

"MCX Gold opened with a mild gap down and is currently trading below the Rs 1,51,000 level, indicating underlying selling pressure near resistance levels despite some intraday volatility. Price action suggests fading strength at higher levels, keeping the broader tone cautious with a mild downside bias," said Ponmudi R, CEO of Enrich Money.

Gold and Silver Rates in the International Market

The gold and silver rates fell significantly in the international market, too. At the time of writing, COMEX Gold was trading at $4,688.30, down $94.90 or 1.98 per cent. COMEX Silver was quoted at $71.85, down $4.22 or 5.5 per cent.

24k, 22k Gold Rates In India

The yellow metal prices across different purity levels mirrored the futures market sentiment in the domestic retail market as well. The 24 karat gold rate today in India is Rs 1,51,430 per 10 grams, while the 22 karat gold rate today is Rs 1,38,811 per 10 grams.

Meanwhile, the 20 karat gold price today in India is Rs 1,26,192, and the 18 karat gold rate today is Rs 1,13,573 per 10 grams.
