Nikita Prasad, a National Institute of Fashion Technology (NIFT) Chennai graduate, kickstarted her designing career in 2016 as an intern where she gained all the experience on jewellery designing.

After religiously working under various jewellery houses, Prasad, along with Sachin Shetty and Ishendra Agarwal, co-founded her silver jewellery brand Giva, which is the silver jewellery category leader in India with a valuation of $133 million.
An unpopular fact about Nikita Prasad is that before co-founding Giva, she had co-founded another jewellery company named IndieJewel Fashion & Pvt.Ltd in 2019. However, she worked only for a month there and started working in Giva.

Giva was incorporated in 2019 and currently has 50 physical stores across the country. According to Your Story report, the expected valuation of the firm is around $250 million dollars (Rs 2054 crore).
Prasad’s co-founded company posted a revenue of Rs 170 crore in FY 2021-2022. Its estimated run rate for the year 2023 is Rs 220 crore.
The silver jewellery brand has recently raised a Series B round of funding of Rs 200 crore led by Azim Premji. The round saw participation from various existing investors like Aditya Birla Ventures, Alteria Capital and A91 Partners, the company said in a statement. The funding will help the company in innovating further and expand its product categories and offerings.
The silver jewellery company also received Rs 70 crore from secondary sales. However, it isn't clear how divested from the firm.
