Bank Strike: In a major update for the customers, the bank employees across the country have called for a nationwide strike today. While the strike has been called for a single day, the services are likely to be affected for the next three to four days due to the weekly-offs. The usual services will not be available in the bank branches, but the essential works can be done through online mode.
The bank unions have announced this one-day strike to press for several pending demands, including implementation of a five-day working system and addition of other essential perks. They stated that the strike was called after no concrete solution had been found despite several rounds of negotiations.
While the bank operations will remain disrupted on Friday due to the strike, the customers will continue to face inconveniences at least till September 14. The customers have been advised to stay updated and plan their days accordingly.

- September 11 (Friday): Nationwide bank strike
- September 12 (Saturday): Second Saturday of the month, banks will remain closed
- September 13 (Sunday): Weekly holiday
- September 14 (Monday): Banks will remain closed in some states due to the Ganesh Chaturthi

This strike will directly impact physical branch operations, including account-related issues and transactions through cheques. Apart from this, the customers might face difficulties while making the cash deposits, largely affecting the businesses.
