The Indian cricket legend's special moment as a father took over the internet as his son, Arjun Tendulkar, finally got his IPL 2026 debut for Lucknow Super Giants on Saturday. Though the youngster managed to impress fans with his bowling, it was the sweet message of patience and hard work that was put by Sachin that instantly went viral on social media.

Shortly after the match, Sachin took to X to post a beautiful message for his son and complimented him on how he handled the season where opportunities were limited.

"Well done, Arjun. Proud of the way you've carried yourself through this season, always believing in your ability, staying patient, working hard quietly, and remaining positive despite having to wait for your opportunity till the very last match. Cricket tests patience as much as skill, and you handled both beautifully today. Keep your feet on the ground, and continue being in love with the game like you always have. Love you always," Sachin wrote.

The 26-year-old was given his first chance to play in Lucknow's last league game of the season against Punjab Kings after the franchise was eliminated from the race for the playoffs. The left-arm pacer gave a decent account of himself with the ball, taking figures of 1/36 in his spell of four overs, sending back the opening batsman, Prabhsimran Singh, to the pavilion with a perfectly aimed yorker.

He even contributed with the bat with a useful knock of five runs from five deliveries. The left-arm pacer could have got a wicket early in the first over itself, but wicket-keeper Rishabh Pant dropped a simple catch.
