Delhi Cricket Team vs Gujarat Cricket Club: Not everyone knows about Vishal Jayswal yet, but the youngster from Gujarat hogged the limelight in the Vijay Hazare Trophy match against Delhi. On Friday, Jayswal had a career-defining moment as he took the wicket of Virat Kohli.
Jayswal is known for producing subtle variations in his bowling. He can force the batters to mistime the ball and then beat them brilliantly. He can bat well as a lower-order batter, but his main role is to play as a bowler.
Vishal Jayswal’s red-ball success and rise through the ranks
He played his debut match for Gujarat in the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy in 2022 and then in the Vijay Hazare Trophy in 2023, but it's the red-ball that he plays the best at.

He was the pick among the bowlers in the 2022–23 U23 CK Nayudu Trophy as he was the highest wicket-taker, having taken 70 wickets, and helped the team win the title.
On the back of his brilliant performance, he played his debut Ranji Trophy match last year against Tripura and since then has played brilliantly as he has taken 40 wickets after playing in 11 matches at an average of 23.52 and a strike rate of 44.6 and registered best figures of 6/59.
A memorable day against Virat Kohli
After everything that he has achieved till now, nothing could come near what he achieved today. Kohli looked in good form today as he had smashed 50 off 29 balls and was on the verge of scoring another big ton.

And just when Kohli was going all guns blazing, Jaiswal bowled a brilliant delivery, as Kohli stepped out of the crease, got the outside edge, but Urvil Patel stumped him on 77.
