IND vs NZ: Before the third ODI against New Zealand, which will be held in Indore on Sunday, Team India's head coach Gautam Gambhir, along with KL Rahul, went to the Mahakaleshwar Temple on Friday. The Men in Blue landed in Indore for the upcoming clash. Ahead of the match, coach Gautam Gambhir and KL Rahul reached the Mahakal temple at 4 a.m. to participate in the Bhasma Aarti.

In the Bhasma Aarti, both of them were sitting in the Nandi Hall and took the blessings of Lord Mahakal. They were at the temple for two hours and offered prayers for the third match. When the Aarti got over, Gambhir and Rahul visited Lord Mahakal at the temple threshold. They were also offering water to Nandi as part of the rituals.

After the darshan, Ashish Falwadia, who is the Assistant Administrator of the temple, was seen thanking Gautam Gambhir and KL Rahul for visiting this temple and participating in the religious ceremony.

Gambhir’s repeated visits to Mahakal Temple

It wasn't the first time that Gautam Gambhir had visited this temple. He had also paid a visit with his family a few months ago. Till now, Gambhir has participated in the Bhasma Aarti four times. Talking about the visit, Gamhir said, 'I was fortunate that Lord Mahakal called me for darshan today. Whenever Mahakal calls me, I will come again. The arrangements at the temple were very good, as always.
