IND vs ZIM, U19 World Cup: India U-19 vice-captain Vaibhav Sooryavanshi showcased his tumultuous batting skills, striking a boundary-laden 52 off just 30 balls in the team's Super Six clash against Zimbabwe at Bulawayo's Queens Sports Club.

Sooryavanshi's growing prowess in the U-19 arena has already accumulated 114 runs from three matches.

The 14-year-old southpaw slammed a half-century in just 24 deliveries, releasing a flurry of eight boundaries, including four fours and four sixes.

His aggressive innings was cut short as Tatenda Chimugoro cleverly delivered a full delivery, which caught him at mid-off, trying to clear the fielder.

This is his second half-century of the tournament. His 72 against Bangladesh earlier showcased his prowess, and now he's India's top-scorer with 166 runs at an average of 41.50 and a strike rate of 133.87.

Earlier, Zimbabwe U19 captain Simbarashe Mudzengerere won the toss and opted to field against India U19.

Speaking at the time of toss, Simbarashe Mudzengerere said, "We will bowl first. There might be a bit of movement in the morning, looks like some moisture as well. If we bowl well, we can get some wickets. Few changes for us."

India captain Ayush Mhatre said, "We were looking to bat, sun is out and the wicket is out. One change for us - Udhav Mohan comes in place of Mohaamd Enaan, just a tactical change. We've had quality practice sessions."
