IND vs ENG 2nd ODI: Indian skipper Rohit Sharma was seen losing his cool at youngster Harshit Rana in the second match against England in Cuttack on Sunday. This occurred in the 32nd over, where Harshit Rana committed a brain fade moment, which helped England score four runs.
The Jos Buttler-led side had a flying start by stitching a partnership of 81 runs between Phil Salt and Ben Duckett. It was Varun Chakravarthy, who gave the team the much-needed breakthrough as he got Salt out in his first ODI match. After that Ben Duckett, who looked in sublime form with 65 runs, was also dismissed.
Harshit Rana dismissed Harry Brook, who had scored 31 runs, and that also stopped the run flow for England for a while. But Joe Root and Jos Buttler helped the team bounce back to post a respectable target.
Harshit Rana’s Costly Mistake
The incident occurred during the 32nd over. Harshit Rana did bowl a good lengthy delivery as Buttler played a defensive shot. Rana did pick up the ball and instead of holding onto it, he threw it toward the stumps even though Buttler was well inside the crease. The ball raced towards the boundary and scored four runs.
Rohit Sharma was seen getting mad and his antics were recorded on camera, where he was seen scolding Harshit Rana for his silly mistake.
