The Indian team created history by defeating New Zealand in the summit clash of the recently concluded mega event at the Narendra Modi stadium in Ahmedabad, becoming the most successful team in the tournament's history.

Following this achievement, Suryakumar Yadav joined the elite list of captains MS Dhoni and Rohit Sharma, both of whom previously led India to T20 World Cup titles and contributed significantly to the team's success in defending the trophy.

Earlier in the match, India set a formidable target of 255 runs, with key contributions from Samson, Abhishek Sharma, and Ishan Kishan. Samson top-scored with 89 off 46 balls, and he and Abhishek provided a strong opening partnership. In response, New Zealand was bowled out for 159.

 Suryakumar Yadav was dismissed for a golden duck. After his wicket fell, Hardik Pandya and others quickly added runs. Dube and Varma then contributed supporting knocks to help India consolidate their total.
