First 10 overs comes to a close and India are cruising towards the target quite comfortably. They need another 40 from the remaining 60 deliveries.
Pakistan's Mohammed Nawaz was termed number one spinner by the team's head coach Hesson. India's Tilak Varma has played sumptuous shots against him as it reflects his surety against spinners.
Abhishek Sharma fails to clear the fence as India lose both openers to Saim Ayub. He wanted to dominate without any stoppage and that has costed him. Nevertheless, another incredible cameo. IND 42/2 (4)
SIX!!!! What a shot from Abhishek. Same story from the first over as he collects a boundary and a maximum in the over. India are off to a good start. They have lost Gill early but it is not bothering Abhishek one bit.
First wicket for Saim Ayub. Shubman Gill falls early in chase. He got off to a good start with back to back boundaries. The wicket ball just left him marginally as he walked out of the crease but couldn't get back in time.
FOUR! followed by SIX! This is incredible stuff from Abhishek Sharma. Shaheen Afridi bowled full and got what he deserved for it. Good deliveries to finish the over.
Pakistan have posted a total of 127/9 in their 20 overs after opting to bat first. Sahibzada Farhan was the top run-getter with a 40-run knock, whereas Shaheen Afridi unleashed a late but impactful cameo of unbeaten 33 runs. For India, Kuldeep picked up three wickets.

Drama kicked off right from the beginning of this highly charged match as both team captains, India's Suryakumar Yadav and Pakistan's Salman Ali Agha, opted to skip the customary handshake at the toss.
"Going to bat first. We've been playing good cricket, very excited. Looks like a slow wicket. Just want to bat first and put runs on the board. Same side. Have been here for 20-odd days and are used to the conditions," Salman Agha said at the time of the toss.
"We were looking to bowl first, happy with it. We played just one strip away, whichwas a nice wicket and better to bat on in the night. It's humid so I'm hoping for some dew. Same team," India captain Suryakumar Yadav said at the time of the toss.

Pakistan captain Salman Agha won the toss and opted to bat against arch-rival India in a blockbuster clash at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium in Dubai on Sunday.
As the emotions are running high with just a few minutes left for the toss, India head coach Gautam Gambhir was seen addressing the India team hurdle ahead of their clash against Pakistan.
“The quality has deteriorated a lot. Wasim Akram, Waqar Younis, Shoaib Akhtar, Saeed Anwar, Inzamam-ul-Haq, Younis Khan, Mohammad Yousuf. All world-class cricketers. And now look who is playing for Pakistan. Excuse me, Shaheen Shah Afridi and Wasim Akram are not the same. There can be no comparison between the two teams in terms of talent," said Ganguly.
“Babar Azam is not there. Rizwan is not there. There is that boy, Fakhar Zaman. In bowling, there are Shaheen Shah Afridi and Harris Rauf. Really, where are Wasim-Waqar and Shoaib, and where are Shaheen Shah Afridi-Harris Rauf? No match in terms of talent. The rest is one and a half days on the field. A lot of things can happen; that is a different matter," said Ganguly.
All-rounder Hardik Pandya is on the cusp of making history. With 91 runs and 13 wickets already in T20Is against Pakistan, he needs just 9 more runs to become the first Indian player to complete the unique feat of scoring 100 runs and taking 10+ wickets in T20Is against Men in Green.
"We are not just looking forward to the Pakistan-India match, but we are looking forward to winning the tournament," Saim Ayub said in a pre-match press conference.
According to many media reports, the Indian cricket team could resort to symbolic protests during the Asia Cup match against Pakistan. This might take the form of players wearing black armbands or cold-shoulder traditional post-match handshakes with Pakistan players.
“Enjoy, it’s a game of cricket. Forget about everything other than cricket. One team will win and one team will lose. Just enjoy the moment if you win the game. Pressure will come, enjoy that and show discipline because this is just a game. I enjoyed every game against India and so did players from the opposition," Akram said while speaking to AFP.
“Pakistan have a chance as they won a tri-series last week. They shouldn’t think that we just need to win against India, but should think of winning the Asia Cup. You can lose to a big team, but even then, stand up and play well in the tournament," Akram said.
"I don't want to say anything. Unfortunate that this match is happening. I'm very sad. How can you watch it? I said earlier that I would boycott this match. I also said that I will personally boycott the entire Asia Cup and I'm not watching it. From Pulwama to Pahalgam, there are so many terrorist attacks and everyone knows where these terrorists come from and despite that, you have to play this match," Tiwary told IANS
Pakistan's last victory over India in the Asia Cup T20 format was in the 2022 edition, specifically in the Super Four clash. In Dubai, Pakistan chased down India's score of 181/7 with one ball to spare, winning by 5 wickets.

Individuals may have different feelings, but the team’s approach is to concentrate on cricket,” coach Ryan ten Doeschate said at the pre-match press conference.
“This is a very sensitive issue. The Asia Cup was in limbo for a long time. At one stage we thought we wouldn’t be coming. Now that we’re here, the players have to put those emotions behind and get on with their job," he added.
