IND-W vs SL-W 4th T20I: India's star batter Smriti Mandhana has scripted history as she achieved the milestone of scoring 10000 international runs and has become the 4th batter globally and the second Indian to have achieved this milestone. She achieved this feat in the 4th T20I against Sri Lanka.

Mandhana needed just 27 runs to achieve this milestone. Before this match, she had smashed 9972 runs after playing in 279 matches in Tests, ODIs, and T20Is. She has also joined an elite list of Mithali Raj (10,868 runs), Suzie Bates (10,652), and Charlotte Edwards (10,273). She has become the second Indian batter, besides Mithali Raj, to have achieved the milestone of scoring 10000 runs.

The host has already won this series 3-0. Sri Lanka won the toss and chose to bowl first, as it will be easier to chase with the help of dew. Mandhana opened the innings along with Shafali Varma and had a flying start. They had posted 61 runs in the first six overs. She achieved the milestone by smashing a ball towards long-on.

Till the tenth over, the host had scored 85/0, where both the openers looked in good touch. Mandhana had scored 37 off 31 balls, where she had smashed six fours, whereas Shafali Varma had scored 48 off 29 balls.
