RR vs RCB, IPL 2024: The match 19 of the IPL 2024 between Rajasthan Royals and Royal Challengers Bengaluru is going to witness something special at Sawai Mansingh Stadium on Saturday, April.

The stadium is going to turn pink during the RR vs RCB clash with the home side set to wear a special kit aiming for their fourth successive win of the tournament.

Maintaining the culture of donning special jerseys by different teams for different reasons over the years in the IPL, Rajasthan Royals will wear a special pink kit instead of their usual one.

This won't be the first time that such an instance will take place in the richest cricket league.

RCB have been seen wearing green jerseys to promote environmental awareness over the years. Last season Gujarat Titans came up wearing a special Lavender jersey to spread and raise awareness about cancer.

In the same edition, Mumbai Indians were seen wearing jerseys of their women’s team.

Why Rajasthan Royals team will wear special pink jersey for RCB clash in IPL 2024?

The Sanju Samson-led Rajasthan Royals will come out wearing all-pink match day kits as part of their #PinkPromise campaign.

As per the initiative, the franchise aims to draw support to the empowered women from rural regions of Rajasthan, who are playing their respective roles in societal transformation.

The 2008 IPL champions will also donate Rs. 100 for women-led rural transformation in Rajasthan on every ticket purchase of the match.

The sale of each special Royals' pink jersey will contribute to their social equity arm “The Royal Rajasthan Foundation.”

In addition to this, for every six hit during the RR vs RCB clash in Jaipur, The Royal Rajasthan Foundation will light up 6 homes in the Sambhar region with solar power.
