Sindhu mingled with Kavya Maran, owner of the Hyderabad franchise. The moment went viral on social media, with fans circulating photos of their interaction. While smiles dominated off-field, the Pat Cummins-led side struggled against KKR at home.
The hosts were bowled out for only 165 runs, their second-lowest score this season. Despite Travis Head's stellar performance, the Pat Cummins-led team faltered, suffering a batting collapse after the power play.

Sindhu recently returned to India from Denmark after India's group-stage exit at the Uber Cup. She played two matches, defeating Denmark's Line Christophersen before losing to China's Wang Zhi Yi.
India failed to reach the quarterfinals, finishing third in their group with China, Denmark, and Ukraine.

Sindhu's backing couldn't turn the hosts' fortunes around, as their five-match winning streak ended. The team struggled with the bat and conceded 71 runs in the first six overs to the Ajinkya Rahane-led side.
The Hyderabad franchise sits third in the points table, with 12 points from nine games. Even a loss in this match won't affect their ranking.
If Kolkata wins, they will move further from the bottom two teams, the Mumbai Indians and Lucknow Super Giants, in the points table.
