PBKS vs DC IPL 2026: Jofra Archer has dominated in recent matches. His speed makes him a dangerous RR bowler, as shown again against the Punjab Kings. PBKS openers Priyansh Arya and Prabhsimran matched his intensity. Prabsimran smashed two boundaries in Archer's first over. In the third over, Archer bowled at 138.8 kmph, and Arya edged the ball towards wicket-keeper Dhruv Jurel. If a slip fielder had been there, he could have caught it. Archer then sent a message to Riyan Parag, saying he was unaware that there was no slip fielder.

Riyan Parag won the toss and chose to bowl first against PBKS. The Shreyas Iyer-led side aims to keep its winning streak. Rajasthan wants to bounce back after losing three of its last four matches. These losses put them in fifth position in the points table, with 10 points after losing 3 of 5 matches.

During the toss, Riyan Parag said, "We will bowl first. It's a good wicket, but there was some cloud cover and a brief shower, so we expect moisture early on. We aim to get the early wickets and chase. Two changes: Shimron Hetmyer sits out, Dasun Shanaka comes in. Yash Raj Punja replaces Ravi Bishnoi."

At the same time, PBKS captain Shreyas Iyer had expressed his condolences to Azmatullah Omarzai, whose mother had passed away.

"We would have loved to bowl first as well. I asked one of our team members, and he told me the wicket had been covered for a couple of days due to bad weather. Still, I feel anytime you bat or bowl, it's a great challenge. We're all proactive regardless of the toss decision. Suryansh Shedge and Lockie come in. All individuals have goals, and so far, it's going well. I want to share my condolences with Azmat and his family on the loss of his mother," Shreyas Iyer said at the toss.
