IND Women vs SA Women Final Highlights: Tryon Powers Hosts To Victory By 5 Wickets

It is all over. South Africa beat India by 5 wickets to take the Tri-Nation Series.

Tryon has single handedly taken the game away from India. Gayakwad comes into the attack. Only a miracle can help India to win from here.

Sneh Rana gets her 2nd wicket in the match as South Africa lose half their side. This match will go down to the wire. There is absolutely no doubt about that. Tryon stands between India and victory here at the Buffalo Park.

This is proving to be a match-saving partnership. The required run-rate is now 6.40 which is quite achievable. India need a wicket soon. Renuka Thakur to bowl the 11th over. OUT!!! That is a big wicket. Captain Luus falls.

South Africa are not in a good position at all. India are just keeping the pressure with their spinners on. Devika Vaidya comes into the attack.

Just the kind of start India wanted. Sneh Rana finds the edge from Brits' bat. Captain Sune Luus is the new batter in as she will face immense pressure to steady the innings.

OUT!!! Laura Wolvaardt ends her painful stay as Deepti Sharma bowls a peach to remove her. Lara Goodall comes in to bat at number 3. The pitch is not easy to bat on now especially against spinners.

Just like South Africa, India start with a maiden as Deepti Sharma just pitched it in a brilliant area with a attacking line. Rajeshwari Gayakwad to bowl from the other end.

India finish on 109/4 after 20 overs. This is a great opportunity for South Africa, however, the chase won't be easy against the Indians. Don't go anywhere as we will be back with the live updates!

This is incredible batting from Harleen Deol. She is 4 runs away from a half century. OUT!!! Commentator's curse. She ends her innings on 46(56).

FOUR!!! That is what Deepti Sharma can do. India should look to get a score above 110 by any means. Ismail to bowl the 19th over. CHANCE!!! but the fielder drops it.

3 overs left now as India will look to make the most of it. This is not a great batting wicket but anything above 110 will give them a chance to defend it. Tryon to bowl the 18th over.

OUT!!! Massive wicket for South Africa. The advantage now is with South Africa completely. Deepti Sharma is the new batter in. She has take the mantle of scoring quick on this wicket.

With Harmanpreet Kaur, Indian fans can expect the run-rate to go a bit up from here. Tryon brought into the attack. South Africa have got so many options. OH!! Is that gone? Umpires did not go upstairs.

South Africa have completely dominated the powerplay by giving away just 19 runs and picking up a crucial wicket. Mlaba comes back to bowl after the powerplay. OH!!! That is beautifull bowled. Jemimah Rodrigues is stumped!

The trio of Ismail-Mlaba-Khaka have been spot on with their lengths. Harleen Deol and Jemimah Rodrigues are just creating pressure on themselves with back to back dot balls.

This has been a brilliant start by South Africa. By picking up Smriti Mandhana early in the match, they are trying to take away the powerplay advantage. Shabnam Ismail, in particular, has not given away a single run.

India won the toss and opted to bat first in the final.

The India U-19 women's team lifting the inaugural U19 World Cup in Potchefstroom could be the motivation for Harmanpreet's side to go all out in the final, and then go on to win an elusive ICC title.

A big positive for India was the return of Pooja Vastrakar, who had been out of action due to an injury.

Under fire batter Jemimah Rodrigues got much needed runs in the final league game against West Indies and would be aiming for consistency.

In the World Cup, India's main challenge will be to outsmart the likes of England and Australia. With eight wickets in three games, all-rounder Deepti Sharma will be the go-to bowler for India in the final.

India had got the better of South Africa in the tri-series opener before their repeat league fixture was washed out. India beat West Indies twice to enter the final.

Hello and welcome to the live cricket coverage of the final match of the Tri-nation Series 2023 between India women and South Africa women here at the Buffalo Park in East London.
