Left-arm fast bowler T Natarajan is set to return to Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH), while leg-spinner Zeeshan Ansari will join Delhi Capitals (DC) following a player trade between the two franchises on Wednesday.

Natarajan has been traded to SRH for Rs 5 crore, half the Rs 10.75 crore that Delhi Capitals paid to sign him at the IPL 2025 auction. Ansari, meanwhile, will move to DC at his existing fee of Rs 40 lakh after representing SRH in the IPL 2026 season.

T Natarajan Returns To SRH After Two Seasons

Natarajan is no stranger to Sunrisers Hyderabad, having represented the franchise for five seasons between 2020 and 2024. During this period, the left-arm pacer established himself as a reliable option with his ability to bowl yorkers and deliver under pressure.

His best IPL season came in 2024, when he picked up 19 wickets and emerged as SRH’s leading wicket-taker. He played an important role in the team’s journey to the final that year.

The 35-year-old will now return to the franchise where he enjoyed some of the most successful years of his IPL career.

Natarajan has taken 72 wickets in 73 IPL matches, with best bowling figures of 4/19. He has also represented India in one Test and two ODIs.

Zeeshan Ansari Moves To Delhi Capitals

Delhi Capitals have added young leg-spinner Zeeshan Ansari to their squad as part of the trade.

Ansari played 10 matches for Sunrisers Hyderabad during the IPL 2026 season, taking six wickets. He made an encouraging start to his IPL career, claiming three wickets on debut against Delhi Capitals.

The 26-year-old will now look to strengthen DC’s spin-bowling options as he begins a new chapter in the tournament.

Ansari has taken six wickets in 10 IPL appearances so far and will join Delhi Capitals at his existing contract fee of Rs 40 lakh.
