The video of massive support for the former CSK captain soon went viral on social media.

It has become a normal thing now for Dhoni to get such reception at any ground he visits in the country.

Dhoni headed into the match on the back of a fiery knock against Delhi Capitals in their last match.

While CSK suffered their first defeat of the season against DC, Dhoni smashed 37 runs off just 16 balls on the back of four boundaries and three sixes in his first outing of the season with the bat.

Talking about the SRH vs CSK, Pat Cummins despite being a brilliant leader, mentioned that he wouldn't try to outsmart a veteran captain and leader like Dhoni.

"My main job as a captain is to get the best out of our guys, so obviously, looking at the opposition a little bit and seeing what they're doing, but I don't think I'm going to try and outsmart someone like MSD," Cummins said to Star Sports ahead of the match.

Notably, SRH captain Cummins won the toss and opted to bowl first aiming to return back to winning ways.

Both teams made multiple changes in their respective playing XIs.
