SRH vs KKR IPL 2026: Kolkata Knight Riders' veteran spinner Sunil Narine's hair has turned silver, and his beard is wispy, but he remains formidable. He has become the third overseas bowler in the tournament's history to claim 200 wickets. He reached this milestone during the IPL 2026 match against Sunrisers Hyderabad, dismissing Salil Arora on Sunday.

He achieved this milestone with the first delivery of the 16th over, bowling a precise carrom ball. Salil Arora misjudged the shot, resulting in an inside edge onto the stumps.

This wicket was significant relief for Narine, who had delivered the opening two overs of the powerplay and endured aggressive batting from SRH openers Abhishek Sharma and Travis Head. His fortunes turned on the final ball as Narine dismissed SRH vice-captain Ishan Kishan, who attempted a big shot but mistimed it, allowing Narine to take the catch.

He is now the third bowler in the tournament, alongside Yuzvendra Chahal (228) and Bhuvaneshwar Kumar (215), to reach 200 wickets. His average exceeds 25, and his economy rate of 6.75 stands unmatched among the top-100 wicket-takers in the tournament.

Narine has claimed all his wickets for the Kolkata franchise, where he has played for 14 years. He has taken seven wickets at an impressive economy rate of 6.73 during IPL 2026, proving his value when 200-plus scores are common.
