Opening for Rajasthan against the Gujarat Titans in Jaipur, Vaibhav hammered 36 runs off 15 balls, including three fours and three sixes. His three sixes lifted his season count to 40 after 11 matches.
Vaibhav leads the ongoing season's six-hitting charts and ranks second among Indians for most sixes in a single IPL season.
Abhishek Sharma holds the Indian record for most sixes in an IPL season, hitting 42 for Hyderabad in 16 matches during IPL 2024.
