RR vs GT IPL 2026: Gujarat Titans openers Shubman Gill and Sai Sudharsan continued their stellar form during their IPL 2026 match against the Rajasthan Royals in Jaipur. With yet another 100-run partnership, they eclipsed a significant IPL record previously held by Royal Challengers Bengaluru’s Virat Kohli and Chris Gayle.

Gill and Sudharsan have now recorded nine hundred-run partnerships in this tournament, equaling Virat Kohli and Chris Gayle's record of the second-highest hundred-run partnerships by any duo in IPL history. Notably, Kohli and AB de Villiers are the only pair to have surpassed 10 such partnerships for Bengaluru.

The GT openers raced to their 100-run partnership in only 8.1 overs, aggressively dispatching RR bowlers and swiftly running between the wickets.

Following their partnership milestone, Gill and Sudharsan matched the record for the most hundred-run opening partnerships in IPL history.

They have now forged six 100-run partnerships for the first wicket together, equaling the record of Sunrisers Hyderabad icons Shikhar Dhawan and David Warner, and Abhishek Sharma and Travis Head.

Yashasvi Jaiswal, Rajasthan Royals' stand-in captain, won the toss and elected to bowl first against Shubman Gill's Gujarat Titans.

Jaiswal is leading the side in place of regular captain Riyan Parag, who is absent from the match following a hamstring injury sustained previously.

Gujarat Titans made a change to their playing XI, bringing in Prasidh Krishna for Manav Suthar. Rajasthan Royals brought back Shimron Hetmyer and Yash Raj Punja.
