RR vs GT IPL 2026 Toss Update: Gujarat Titans face Rajasthan Royals in their upcoming IPL 2026 match at Sawai Mansingh Stadium, Jaipur, on Saturday. Both teams seek victory to advance on the points table as playoff contention intensifies. Rajasthan Royals' stand-in captain Yashasvi Jaiswal won the toss and elected to bowl first, dropping Riyan Parag from the lineup.

The RR fans were quite surprised to not see their regular captain, Riyan Parag, not part of the playing XI for their match against the Shubman Gill-led side. 

Why Is Riyan Parag Not Playing vs GT?

It should be noted here that Yashasvi Jaiswal is leading the side from the front for the first time, as Riyan Parag had sustained an injury, and that's why he gave the first match of the ongoing season a miss. It should be noted here that he had sustained a hamstring injury during their previous match, and that's why he gave the match against GT a miss.

"(On Riyan Parag missing the game due to injury) Riyan pulled his hamstring in the last game, so I feel he’ll be back soon," Jaiswal was heard saying at the toss. 

RR vs GT Toss Report

The skippers Yashasvi Jaiswal and Shubman Gill came onto the ground for the coin toss. Yashasvi Jaiswal won the toss and chose to bowl first. 

Talking about the changes in the playing XIs, Hetmyer and Punja have replaced Burger and Parag. As far as the Shubman Gill-led side is concerned, Prasidh Krishna has returned to the playing XI.
