New Delhi | Jagran Sports Desk: India's women team T20I captain Harmanpreet Kaur is one of the most agile cricketers in the women's team and she proved it yet again by taking a stunning one-handed catch at the boundary ropes on Friday. The 30-year-old cricketer made her jump to perfection to complete a catch at the long-on position at the Sir Vivian Richards Stadium in the opening ODI.
The West Indies skipper Stefanie Taylor was in great touch during the match. She was batting on 88 with just two balls left. She hit the second last ball off Ekta Bisht for a six in the long area and tried to repeat it and reach the three-figure mark. However, Harmanpreet Kaur's superb catch sent Taylor (94) back to the pavilion.
The ball looked like it could have easily sailed over her top, but Harmanpreet timed her jump to perfection and grabbed it. She caught it with her left arm (non-throwing arm) despite getting into an awkward position.

Despite her heroics, the Indian women lost the match by a narrow margin of 1 run. Harmanpreet's fielding display went viral as cricket fans across the world are applauding the Indian all-rounder on social media for her superhuman effort near the fence.
After winning the toss, West Indies scored 225 runs for the loss of 7 wickets in 50 overs. Apart from Taylor, opener Natasha McLean scored a half-century (51 runs). In reply, India started on a high as openers Priya Punia (75) and Jemimah Rodrigues (41) added 78 runs for the first wickets but things didn't work as India kept losing wickets and lost the match by 1 run. Anisa Mohammad took a five-wicket haul for West Indies.
The second match of three ODI series is scheduled to take place on November 3 (Sunday) at the same venue in Antigua. West Indies will like to win the match and take an unassailable 2-0 lead in the series.
