Delhi Accident: Speeding Scorpio Hits Scooter, E-Rickshaw In Narela; Several Injured

A speeding Scorpio car hit a scooter and an e-rickshaw in Narela, Delhi, on Tuesday morning, injuring several people. The injured have been admitted to hospital, where two are in a serious condition. According to eyewitnesses, the Scorpio was travelling at high speed and the accident occurred after the driver lost control. The police are investigating the matter.

Delhi Accident: Speeding Scorpio Hits Scooter, E-Rickshaw In Narela; Several Injured

Four to five people were injured after an out-of-control Scorpio car caused havoc on Vardhman Mall Road in Pocket-4, Sector-6, Narela, at 8:30 am on Tuesday morning.

According to an eyewitness, the speeding Scorpio, which had a Haryana registration plate, went out of control while trying to avoid a scooter. The car proceeded to hit the scooter and an e-rickshaw before coming to a halt after colliding with a pole. The e-rickshaw was completely destroyed in the incident.

The injured include the man and woman who were on the scooter, as well as two to three people who were in the e-rickshaw. The condition of two of the injured remains critical. All have been admitted to Satyawadi Raja Harishchandra Hospital in Narela.

The Scorpio's airbags deployed after the collision with the pole. Eyewitnesses stated that if the vehicle had not been stopped by the pole, the lives of several people drinking tea on the pavement could have been in danger.

The police have started an investigation into the incident.
