Delhi Pollution: The overall air quality index (AQI) in Delhi stood at 288, falling in the ‘poor’ category at 7 am on Tuesday, according to data from the Central Pollution Control Board (CPCB). In view of prevailing weather conditions, the Delhi airport issued a passenger advisory stating that flight operations continue under CAT III conditions. While both arrivals and departures are operational, passengers may experience delays or disruptions.

Although the AQI remains in the ‘poor’ to ‘very poor’ range, it marks a significant improvement from the earlier ‘severe plus’ levels. Meanwhile, the city’s temperature dropped to 18 Degree Celsius, contributing to chilly conditions in the early morning hours.

Delhi Airport tweets, "Flight operations continue to be in CAT III. Both arrivals and departures are taking place, though some flights may experience delays or disruptions. Passengers are requested to contact their respective airlines for the latest flight information. Please be assured that our on-ground officials are available across all terminals to provide necessary support."

According to the India Meteorological Department’s latest forecast, Delhi’s maximum temperature between January 6 and January 10 is expected to hover between 18 and 20 Degree Celsius, while the minimum temperature is likely to remain around 8 to 9 Degree Celsius. No major drop in temperature is predicted. Winds are expected to continue at around 15 kmph during this period.
