Delhi Fog Crisis: Over 45 Trains And Flights Delayed; Railways Adds Coaches To Vande Bharat

More than 45 trains in Delhi are running over two hours late due to severe cold and fog. Major trains such as the Bhubaneswar Rajdhani, Ranchi Rajdhani, Darbhanga Humsafar, Sogaria Superfast, and Gomti Express are affected. The departure times of several trains have also been changed. Along with long-distance services, local trains are also delayed, causing inconvenience for passengers. The railway is monitoring the situation from control rooms and arranging extra coaches to reduce passenger inconvenience.

Dense fog caused delays for several flights and over 45 trains. 

Commuters in the national capital, Delhi, continue to face significant hardships amidst biting cold. On Friday, dense fog caused delays for several flights and over 45 trains. Train operations have been severely affected due to foggy conditions in Delhi and other parts of the country.

More than 45 Delhi-bound trains, including the Bhubaneswar Rajdhani and Ranchi Rajdhani, were running behind schedule by over two hours on Friday. Consequently, the departure timings for several trains have had to be rescheduled.

New Delhi-Darbhanga Humsafar Special: Delayed by 6 hours and 15 minutes.

New Delhi-Sogaria (Kota) Superfast Express: Delayed by 2 hours.

New Delhi-Lucknow Gomti Express: Delayed by 1.5 hours.

Bhubaneswar Rajdhani: Running late by over 2 hours.

Ranchi Rajdhani: Running late by over 2 hours.

In addition to long-distance services, several local trains are also running behind schedule, causing difficulties for daily commuters trying to reach their workplaces in the morning.

Railway officials stated that necessary measures are being taken to minimise passenger inconvenience. Additional coaches have been arranged for Vande Bharat trains to ensure they run on time. Furthermore, a dedicated control room has been established to closely monitor the situation.
