The largest corridor of the Delhi Metro's upcoming Phase-5A is set to provide significant relief to hundreds of thousands of daily commuters travelling to key destinations such as Kartavya Bhavan, India Gate, and Bharat Mandapam. This expansion is poised to be a game-changer for both government employees and tourists, enhancing connectivity across the capital.

The project encompasses three major corridors:

1. Ramakrishna Ashram Marg To Indraprastha

Length: 9.9 km

Estimated Cost: Rs 9,570 crore

This corridor serves as a vital link, starting from the RK Ashram Marg station on the Blue Line and reconnecting with the Blue Line at Indraprastha. The route will pass through major hubs including Shivaji Station, Kendriya Sachivalaya (Central Secretariat), Kartavya Bhavan, India Gate, and Bharat Mandapam. It is expected to directly benefit approximately 60,000 employees working in Kartavya Bhavan and nearby government offices, as well as 200,000 daily visitors.

2. Aerocity To Airport Terminal-1

Length: 2.3 km

Estimated Cost: Rs 1,419.6 crore

This short but strategic corridor will establish a direct connection between Aerocity and Terminal-1 of the IGI Airport. With the expansion of Terminal-1 completed and flight operations set to increase, this link will allow passengers to easily reach the terminal by interchanging at Aerocity, significantly streamlining airport transit.
