Delhi Police has issued a traffic advisory in view of the Centenary Year Celebration of Shri Ram College of Commerce (SRCC), Delhi University’s North Campus, scheduled for February 8 from 3 pm to 10 pm. Traffic movement around North Campus is expected to be affected during this period, and commuters have been advised to avoid designated routes.

Affected Routes 

According to the Delhi Traffic Police, normal traffic will be disrupted on:

Chhatra Marg

University Marg

Diversion Points

Vehicles may be diverted, as required, at the following points, except for emergency vehicles:

St. Stephen’s College Red Light

Hindu College Red Light

Kranti Chowk

Patel Chest

Mall Road (connecting roads to Delhi University)

Alternate Routes

From Mall Road to Chhatra Marg:
Traffic will be diverted from the Chhatra Marg–Mall Road T-point towards Khalsa College Red Light, then via Guru Tegh Bahadur Marg.

From Mall Road to University Marg:
Traffic will be diverted from the University Marg–Mall Road T-point towards Khalsa College Red Light, then via Guru Tegh Bahadur Marg.

From GTB Marg and Vijay Nagar Marg to Chhatra Marg:
Traffic will be diverted from Patel Chest to Guru Tegh Bahadur Marg, then via Sudhir Bose Marg and Sant Kirpal Singh Marg.

From MCD Chowk, Malkaganj and Bonta Park to Rugby Ground, North Campus:
Traffic will be diverted from St. Stephen’s Red Light towards Kranti Chowk and then via Guru Tegh Bahadur Marg.

Advisory to Commuters:

Commuters are advised to avoid the affected roads during the event hours and refrain from parking vehicles on roadsides, as this may obstruct the smooth flow of traffic. Motorists are requested to strictly follow traffic rules and cooperate with traffic personnel deployed at key intersections to ensure hassle-free movement.
