Traffic in the national capital will remain affected until November 25, due to commemorative events marking the 350th Martyrdom Day of Guru Tegh Bahadur Sahib. A major event is scheduled at the Red Fort from November 19 to November 25, with a large attendance expected, including several VVIPs.
To manage the congestion and ensure public safety, the Delhi Police has issued a comprehensive traffic advisory. Commuters may face severe traffic jams over the next week due to road closures and diversions.

Effective Period: November 19 to November 25.
Daily Timing: Diversions will be in effect daily from 4:00 pm to 11:00 pm.
Commercial Vehicle Diversions: Buses and commercial vehicles traveling from Chhatta Rail Chowk and Delhi Gate towards Netaji Subhash Marg will be diverted to the Ring Road via Chhatta Rail Chowk, GPO Chowk, or Delhi Gate Chowk.

Procession Reaches Delhi The Dharm Rakshak Yatra (procession to protect righteousness), dedicated to the 350th Martyrdom Day, has arrived in Delhi from the holy land of Sri Anandpur Sahib. The procession is moving through various parts of the city amidst great enthusiasm from the sangat (congregation).
Route Update: On Tuesday, the procession started from Gurdwara Baba Zorawar Singh and Baba Fateh Singh, reaching Guru Harkrishan Nagar late in the evening. After an overnight halt, it resumed its journey on Wednesday morning and is scheduled to reach Gurdwara Nanak Piao later in the day.
Religious Significance and DSGMC Statement Harmeet Singh Kalka (President, Delhi Sikh Gurdwara Management Committee) and Jagdeep Singh Kahlon (General Secretary) expressed gratitude to the Delhi sangat for the warm welcome extended to the Nagar Kirtan (processional singing).
Historical Context: They highlighted that both the martyrdom and the last rites of Guru Tegh Bahadur Sahib took place in Delhi—marked by Gurdwara Sis Ganj Sahib (martyrdom site) and Gurdwara Rakab Ganj Sahib (cremation site)—making this event highly significant for the community.
