- Delhi: Rs 47.89 per SCM
- Gurugram: Rs 46.70 per SCM
- Noida: Rs 47.76 per SCM
- Greater Noida: Rs 47.76 per SCM
- Ghaziabad: Rs 47.76 per SCM
“The revised price after reduction shall be Rs 47.89 per SCM in Delhi, Rs 46.70 per SCM in Gurugram, and Rs 47.76 per SCM in Noida, Greater Noida, and Ghaziabad,” IGL said in its social media announcement.
What Are The Reasons Behind the Sudden Price Reduction?
IGL’s decision to lower the prices of piped cooking gas follows a recent overhaul of pipeline tariffs by the Petroleum and Natural Gas Regulatory Board (PNGRB).
The announcement also comes after Think Gas, another service provider, had earlier revealed reductions in CNG and domestic PNG prices across various states, ahead of the new tariff structure that will take effect from 1 January 2026.
On December 16, 2025, the PNGRB introduced a revised tariff structure for pipelines supplying natural gas. This gas is used for generating electricity, producing fertiliser, powering CNG vehicles, and as fuel for cooking.
Under the new tariff regime, the number of distance-based tariff zones has been reduced from three to two, covering distances of up to 300 kilometres and beyond. A single, lower Zone-1 rate will now apply for both CNG and domestic PNG customers across India.
