University of Lucknow: Lucknow University is set to open an astrology consultation centre on its campus, extending services beyond students and staff to the general public. Officials said the centre will provide systematic and time-bound astrological consultations covering career planning, health, marriage, finance and other personal matters, ensuring transparency and reliability.
The university said consultations will be conducted through a structured scheduling system with proper record maintenance. Each session will be based on the individual’s birth chart and limited to a fixed duration to ensure efficiency. Fees and services offered by the centre have been formally approved by the university administration.

What services will the centre offer?
The astrology consultation centre will guide a wide range of personal and social matters. These include career planning, health-related concerns, marriage prospects, financial stability, investments, housing, education, children and overall economic well-being. Special consultations will also cover foreign travel possibilities and advice related to social status and prestige. Each consultation will be structured, time-bound and based on astrological charts.
How much will consultations cost?
The fee structure varies depending on the type of consultation. General astrological consultations will start from Rs 1,500 per session, with each session lasting at least 15 minutes. Specialised consultations, including political science analysis, will be charged at Rs 500 for a 15-minute session.
The university clarified that all fees have been approved by the administration to maintain standardisation and transparency.

What is the university’s academic background in astrology?
According to the Lucknow University website, the institution has been offering formal education in astrology since 2001. Regular BA and MA programmes are conducted in Hindi, English and Sanskrit. The consultation centre became operational in August and was initially limited to university students and staff before being opened to the general public as part of academic outreach.
Why Political Science Analysis Included?
The centre will offer a separate consultation facility for political science analysis, reflecting the growing public interest in political trends and outcomes. These sessions will focus on analytical interpretations through astrological frameworks and will last 15 minutes. The convener of the Department of Astrology said formal consultations would begin soon and may be expanded further to improve services based on demand.
