CBSE Class 12 Re-evaluation Portal: The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has officially opened its online portal for the verification of marks and re-evaluation of Class 12 board examination papers. To assist students in navigating the system, the board has released a comprehensive video guide detailing the application process. Candidates must log in to the post-result services portal at postresult.cbseit.in/pvr/ to submit their requests.

Notably, the board has clarified that only students who have previously requested and obtained scanned photocopies of their evaluated answer sheets are eligible to proceed with verification or re-evaluation. CBSE highly recommends that students thoroughly compare their responses against the official marking scheme to pinpoint exact discrepancies before filing a formal challenge.

Accessing the Portal and Fee Structure

To initiate the process, students are required to log in to the post-result services portal using their board exam credentials. From there, they can select the specific subjects and individual questions they want to challenge. The board emphasizes that all applications must include proper justification and be submitted within the designated timeline to be valid.

In terms of processing costs, CBSE has set a fee of Rs 500 per answer book for the initial verification of marks. For students moving forward with a full re-evaluation, the fee is Rs 100 per specific question. Re-evaluation requests are strictly limited to the questions a student explicitly flags after reviewing their scanned answer script.

The activation of this portal follows a brief postponement in the post-result review schedule. CBSE initially delayed the rollout to fortify its digital infrastructure, enhance system safeguards, and prevent technical glitches, ensuring a more seamless application experience for applicants.

This year's re-evaluation process is under significant scrutiny following widespread student concerns regarding potential discrepancies in grading. Much of the debate centers around the implementation of the board's On-Screen Marking (OSM) system.
