CBSE Phase 2 examination also included foreign languages alongside mainstream subjects. Candidates will receive the results through the same process and platforms as the other subject groups. 

As per the CBSE grading system, students securing Grade E in the Phase 2 examination will have to reappear for the examination. The remaining grades range from A1 to D2. The grading system is based on candidates’ performance in the exam.

The CBSE 10th second board exam was held between 15th May 2026 to 21st May 2026. The link to check the result can be found at cbse.gov.in. To check the result, the candidates need to log in to the official website using their credentials. It is likely that the CBSE 10th second board exam results will be declared this week.

Internal assessment and practical marks are carried forward for both examination phases. Students only reappeared for the theory component, while their previously awarded internal assessment marks remain part of the final result.

According to official data, over 6.69 lakh students registered for the second attempt. Among them, 402,643 were male candidates, 266,209 were female candidates, and two registered under the 'Other' category.

Candidates placed in the compartment category must obtain a minimum of 33 per cent marks in the respective subject or subjects to successfully clear the examination.

CBSE class 10th Students should check with school counselors or review their preferred colleges' websites to understand the admission requirements associated with A, B, and C grades.

CBSE 10th second board result 2026 is expected to be announced anytime soon. However, there's no official confirmation from CBSE.

During the second board exam, the highest number of candidates opted for Science. Mathematics and Social Science were the next most popular choices, while eligible candidates also appeared for papers in regional and foreign languages.

The CBSE 10th Phase 2 Result has not been declared as of July 6, 2026. While the official declaration date is yet to be confirmed by the board, students continue to await the activation of the result link and should regularly monitor the authorised CBSE platforms for updates.

After the CBSE results are declared, the Board is likely to open the process for the verification of marks, obtaining photocopies of evaluated answer sheets, and revaluation. Those students dissatisfied with their existing scores can apply within the prescribed schedule.

Ahead of the second board exams, CBSE declared the results for the Class 10 board exams, recording an overall pass percentage of 93.70 per cent. Out of the 2,471,777 students who appeared for the exams, 2,316,008 qualified.

The board will separately compare the marks obtained in both rounds of examinations for each subject. If a student performs better in only one or two papers, only those higher scores—rather than the previous ones, will be used for the final combined result.

Students are advised to carefully verify all the details in the PDF of their Class 10 results after downloading it. The CBSE Class 10 marksheet will contain essential information such as the student's name, roll number, date of birth, subject-wise theory and practical marks, total marks obtained, overall grade, and pass/fail status.

The CBSE board has yet to release any specific score figures for 2026, so candidates must await an official update before planning their next steps.

Once CBSE declares the results, students will be able to view their digital marksheets via DigiLocker.

Step 1: Visit results.digilocker.gov.in and sign in to your DigiLocker account.

Step 2: Open the CBSE Class 10 result section once the service is activated by the board.

Step 3: Enter your board roll number, registration number, and date of birth in the required fields.

Step 4: Submit the details to view the provisional digital marksheet.

Step 5: Download the marksheet and save a copy for admission and document verification purposes until you receive the original certificate from the school.

If a student fails to pass by a very narrow margin, CBSE may award grace marks in accordance with its eligibility criteria and regulations, thereby helping the student reach the minimum passing marks.

Students can take the optional Phase-2 exam to improve their scores in Science, Mathematics, Social Science, or languages, and the board will consider the better of the two scores.

The implementation of a two-board exam system offers greater convenience to Class 10 students; it gives them another opportunity to improve their academic performance within the same year, thereby reducing reliance on a single crucial examination.

Science recorded the highest number of registrations in the second examination, followed by Mathematics Standard, Mathematics Basic and Social Science. Many students opted to improve marks in these core subjects for future stream selection.

The mark sheet downloaded from the official result portal will serve as a provisional document. Once the results are processed, students will receive their final combined mark sheet and passing certificate from their respective schools.

CBSE has not released the Class 10 second board exam results today, July 5, 2026. The results are now likely to be announced on Monday. They are expected to be released within the first week of July.

If students do not perform as expected in the second exam, they need not worry. CBSE will retain the higher score obtained in each subject, ensuring that the candidate's final marks do not decrease due to the second attempt.

A six‑digit security PIN sent by the school unlocks DigiLocker; enter the school code, roll number and PIN to download the provisional marksheet directly to your phone.

CBSE will not email or post the 10th result; the only official copy is the provisional online scorecard, while the final mark sheet must be collected from the school.

CBSE has stopped announcing the merit list in recent years. Toppers are also not released.

To clear the CBSE Class 10 board examination, students must secure a minimum of 33 per cent marks in each subject, covering both theory and practical or internal assessment components wherever applicable.

Hindi Course-A led language registrations with 29,860 candidates, followed by Hindi Course-B with 23,476. Other subjects included Odia (3,295), English Communicative (5,413), Malayalam (2,462), Telugu (1,875), Tamil (1,836), Kannada (1,527), Sanskrit (1,500), Sanskrit Communicative (1,469), Punjabi (1,018), and French (809), with skill-based electives seeing comparatively low enrolment.

Among regular candidates, 4,02,643 were male, 2,66,209 were female, and two candidates fell under the "other" category. Within the female group, 31,548 appeared under compartment, 2,15,215 for improvement, and 19,446 for both.

Among male candidates, 53,736 were under compartment, 3,10,439 for improvement, and 38,468 for both categories.

Around 6.69 lakh students registered for the CBSE Class 10 second board examination, accounting for nearly 27 per cent of those who appeared in the first phase.

Of these, 5,25,655 registered for improvement, 85,285 applied under the compartment category, and 57,914 opted for both improvement and compartment exams.
