Students Left In Uncertainty
Under the CBSE two-board examination system, the last exam concluded on May 21. Students who wanted to improve their marks or failed in one or more subjects appeared for the second board examinations. The uncertainty has been concerning for students and parents, particularly for the Class 11th admissions. Most of the schools have either begun or completed the Class 11th admission for the new academic session. Based on the earlier CBSE Class 10th result 2026, students have been granted provisional admissions. Based on the Phase 2 marks, admissions will be finalized. But the delay could affect their admission prospects and academic plans.
Parents And Students Question The Delay
Frustrated about the delay, parents and students took to the social media account X and questioned the Board.
X user Rabia Hasan posted that her child has gotten 81.4 per cent in the first board examination. But to get the Science stream, she appeared for the second board examination. Since the result is still pending, schools are not granting admissions.
One student raised the question that the delay is now becoming irrelevant. Class 11 admissions are being granted based on the First Board Exam results. What purpose will the Phase 2 result serve?
Another user said, “The CBSE seems to have forgotten about the Class 10 second board exam results. It's been almost two months now.”
While the CBSE remains silent, students are advised to keep their patience and continue with their ongoing Class 11 admissions. In the main CBSE Class 10th Board Examination 2026, over 23 lakh students appeared with an overall pass percentage of 93.70 per cent.
In the main CBSE Class 10 board examination 2026, over 23 lakh students appeared, with an overall pass percentage of 93.66 per cent.
