CTET 2026 Revised Exam Date Soon

CBSE is expected to release the revised CTET 2026 examination date after completing the application process. The board had initially conducted the registration process from May 11 to June 10, 2026, with the examination scheduled for September 6.

However, following developments related to the statutory requirement of acquiring the prescribed Teacher Eligibility Test qualification, the application portal was reopened to give eligible candidates another opportunity to apply.

The board stated that the revised examination date would be announced after the closure of the reopened application portal. Candidates should therefore wait for the official notification before making any assumptions about the new exam date.

CTET 2026 Admit Card and City Slip

After the revised examination schedule is announced, CBSE is expected to release further details regarding the CTET 2026 city intimation slip and admit card.

The city slip generally provides candidates with information about the city where their examination centre is located, while the admit card contains important details such as the examination date, centre address, reporting time and candidate information.

Candidates should download these documents from the official CTET portal once they are released and carefully verify all the details mentioned on them.

CTET 2026 Exam Pattern: MCQ-Based Paper

As per the prescribed CTET examination structure, the test will consist of multiple-choice questions (MCQs). Each question will have four alternatives, with candidates required to select the most appropriate answer.

Each question will carry one mark, and there will be no negative marking in the examination. Candidates should therefore familiarise themselves with the prescribed exam pattern and syllabus while waiting for the revised schedule.

CTET 2026 OMR Guidelines:

CBSE has also issued instructions regarding the OMR answer sheet. Candidates must carefully follow the prescribed instructions while marking their answers because the OMR sheets will be evaluated through electronic means using computers and scanners.

The board has stated that candidates will be responsible for any invalidation of their OMR answer sheets caused by incomplete or incorrect filling. Aspirants should therefore carefully follow all instructions provided on the examination day.

Candidates who registered during the reopened application window should continue their preparation and regularly monitor the official CTET website for the revised exam date, city intimation slip and admit card. The final schedule will be confirmed only through an official CBSE announcement.
