Haryana School Holiday: The Haryana government had declared winter holidays until January 15th. Due to the severe cold, the school holidays were further extended until January 18th. However, the intense cold wave is still not subsiding. Now, due to the severe cold, schools in the state may remain closed until January 20th.

A dense fog alert has been issued in several districts of Haryana today, which has caused concern among both children and parents.

This is because the winter holidays are ending today in the state. For your information, all government and private schools in the state were ordered to remain closed from January 1st to January 15th, 2026. After that, the holidays were extended until January 16th and 17th, and due to Sunday, schools remained closed until January 18th.

These 15 days of holidays were declared to protect children from the biting cold. Schools were supposed to reopen regularly from January 16th in Haryana with their old timings, but the holidays were extended by three days. It is expected that the education department may soon extend the holidays further.

Will Schools Remain Closed until January 20th?

The cold wave continues in Haryana. Due to the increasing cold, the education department may decide to keep the schools closed for now. The Haryana School Education Department may consider extending the winter holidays in schools.

However, currently, schools are closed until January 18th. The education department is considering keeping schools closed until January 20th. January 18th is a Sunday holiday. Therefore, efforts are being made to reopen schools on January 19th.
