HPPSC Constable recruitment 2026: HPPSC application deadline has been extended until August 21 (11:59 pm). With additional time granted for applications, eligible candidates seeking jobs across 734 Police Constable vacancies in the Himachal Pradesh Police can now submit their Online Recruitment Applications (ORA). Earlier, the recruitment notification was released on July 9, 2026, with the online applications starting from July 10, 2026. The Himachal Pradesh Public Service Commission (HPPSC) has further clarified that the online applications will only be submitted through the ORA portal. No other mode of application will be accepted for the recruitment examination.

How To Apply For HP Police Recruitment 2026?

Candidates can follow the given steps to submit their applications through the ORA portal. 

Step 1: Go to the official portal at hppsconline.hp.gov.in.

Step 2: Click Apply Online, select One Time Registration (OTR) for Examinations, and then select the registration link.

Step 3: Enter your basic details to get your login details. 

Step 4: Using the above credentials, complete your application form with personal, educational, and academic details.

Step 5: Upload mandatory documents and pay the application fees. 

Step 6: Verify all details carefully and submit the form.

Himachal Pradesh Police Vacancies 2026

HPPSC Constable recruitment 2026 aims to fill a total of 734 vacancies across genders. 491 posts are allotted for male candidates, while 243 posts are allocated for female candidates. Applicants registering for these posts must have passed class 12th from a recognized board with minimum passing marks. The age requirement is between 18 and 25 years of age as calculated from  January 1, 2026. As per the government guidelines, age relaxation will be granted to reserved candidates for the upper age limit. 

HP Police Constable Recruitment 2026: Selection Process

The selection process includes a physical test, written examination, followed by document verification and medical examination. Candidates need to qualify each recruitment stage to get the final selection. 

Candidates are further advised to fill out the online application form carefully, as no correction window will be opened afterwards. Those applying through cyber cafés or Lok Mitra Kendras have been advised to verify all information before final submission.
