Once released, candidates can follow the given steps to download the merit list PDF from the official portal.

Step 1: Go to the official website of the India Post GDS Online Engagement.

Step 2: On the homepage, under the Candidate’s Corner Section, browse for the Online Engagement section.

Step 3: Click on the “2nd Merit List 2026” link.

Step 4: Select your postal circle or state.

Step 5: The merit list will be displayed on your screen.

Step 6: Download it and search for your registration number. You can also use Ctrl+F and enter your registration number to find your result quickly.

  • Division and Office Name

  • Post ID and Post Name

  • Registration Number

  • Candidate Name

  • Percentage of Marks (up to 4 decimal places)

India Post GDS 2nd Merit List 2026: What’s Next?

Candidates whose names appear on the GDS 2nd merit list will be invited for the document verification process. They must present the following documents:

  • Class 10 mark sheet and certificate

  • Identity proof

  • Category certificate (if applicable)

  • Residence certificate

  • Passport-size photographs

After the completion of the document verification process, candidates will receive their final appointment letter for GDS posts.
