JEE Main 2026 Session 2 Exam Day Guidelines: The National Testing Agency (NTA) will conduct the JEE Main session 2 exam 2026 on April 2, 4, 5, 6, and 8 for paper 1. Paper 2 will be held on April 7, 2026. The exam will be conducted in two shifts from  AM to 12 PM (Shift 1) and 3 PM to 6 PM (Shift 2) in various cities throughout the country and 15 cities outside India. Admit cards for the April 2 and 4 exams are available online, while hall tickets for the rest of the exam dates are still awaited.

JEE Main 2026 Session 2 Exam 2026: Document Checklist

Candidates must carry all mandatory documents as stated by NTA before leaving for the exam. Failure to do so may result in denial of entry.

Here is the list of important documents:

1. A printed copy of the JEE Main Session 2 Admit Card 2026

2. A valid government-issued ID such as Aadhaar Card, Passport, Voter ID, PAN Card, or Driving Licence. It is mandatory for verification.

3. Two passport-size photographs, similar to the one pasted on the application form.

4. Photo verification certificate: Applicable to those who have received an email from NTA.

5. Caste certificates if necessary

JEE Main 2026 Session 2 Exam Day Guidelines

Students must read the following exam day guidelines for a smooth exam experience.

1. Try to reach the exam centre at least an hour before the reporting time mentioned on the JEE Main Session 2 admit card 2026. Complete your verification in time.

2. Carry your admit card and a valid photo ID to the exam centre. 

3. You will be given rough sheets for calculations. Write your name and roll number at the top. Return them before leaving the exam hall.

4. In the attendance sheet, ensure you have filled in your details. Put your signature, Left Hand Thumb Impression, and paste the Photograph at the appropriate place. 

5. Electronic devices like mobiles, watches, calculators, and Bluetooth devices are strictly prohibited inside the examination hall. 

JEE Main 2026 Session 2 Exam: Dress Code

Students must wear comfortable clothes for the exam. Avoid clothing with metallic zippers, large decorative buttons, badges, or metal-threaded embroidery. 

1. Plain jeans or simple trousers are preferable. 

2. Wear simple slippers, floaters, or open-toe sandals with low soles.

3. Caps, hats, and belts must be avoided.
