India Post GDS Result 2026 Date: India Post will soon release the results for the Gramin Dak Sevaks exam 2026 on its official portal. The result will be available online in PDF format. Those who have appeared for the January 2026 GDS exam can download the result using their login credentials. 

Candidates must note that there will be no individual scorecard issued by the authorities. They need to download the circle-wise merit list and check their name or registration number.

A total of 28,636 vacancies have been announced for Gramin Dak Sevak (GDS), Branch Postmaster (BPM) and Assistant Branch Postmaster (ABPM) positions across the country.

Once the official link is active, follow the given steps to download the PDF from the candidate’s login portal. 

Step 1: Go to the official website at indiapostgdsonline.gov.in.

Step 2: Click on the “India Post GDS Result 2026” link on the homepage.

Step 3: Select your postal circle.

Step 4: Download the merit list PDF. 

Step 5: Press Ctrl + F and search for your registration number or name

India Post GDS Merit List 2026: How Is It Prepared?

India Post GDS 2026 merit list will be available in PDF format on the GDS Online Engagement Portal at indiapostgdsonline.gov.in. It will have state and circle-wise names of shortlisted candidates for further stages of recruitment. The merit list will be 

Based on the marks obtained in Class 10 from a recognised Board, candidates will be shortlisted. Compared to other government exams, there will be no written or interview exams for the selection process. The selection is entirely merit-based.

India Post GDS 2026: What After Merit List Announcement?

Once the merit list has been released, shortlisted candidates have to visit their respective circle centres and complete their document verification and medical examination. They must carry their original documents, including Class 10 mark sheet, photo ID, caste/EWS certificates (if applicable) and proof of date of birth for the verification process.
