Parents wishing to enroll their children in Kendriya Vidyalayas across India must complete the application process on the official portal before the midnight deadline.

This centralised admission process, conducted through the official website admission.kvs.gov.in, has witnessed a massive surge in the number of applications as parents race to secure seats in these prestigious Central Government schools. KVS Admission 2026- 27: Steps To Download

Parents who have not yet applied can follow these steps to complete the registration before the deadline:

Step 1: Visit the official KVS website at kvsangathan.nic.in.

Step 2: Click on the "New Registration" link available on the homepage.

Step 3: Fill in the required details for the child, parents, or guardians accurately.

Step 4: Upon submission, a unique registration number or login code will be generated. Save this for future access.

Step 5: Log in using the credentials to access the application form.

Step 6: Select up to three preferred Kendriya Vidyalayas in order of priority.

Step 7: Upload scanned copies of the necessary documents as per the specifications.

Step 8: Review all the filled information and click on the submit button. Finally, download and keep a printout of the final submitted application form.

KVS Admission 2026- 27: Reservation Policy

1. Each Class 1 section has 40 seats with a fixed reservation structure.

2. 10 seats (25 per cent) are reserved under the Right to Education (RTE) category.

3. 6 seats (15 per cent) are reserved for Scheduled Castes (SC).

4. 3 seats (7.5 per cent) are reserved for Scheduled Tribes (ST).

5. 11 seats (27 per cent) are reserved for OBC Non-Creamy Layer (OBC-NCL) students.

6. Children with Special Needs (CwSN) are given 3 per cent reservation of the total seats.

KVS Admission 2026- 27: Priority Criteria

Admissions are further prioritised based on the service category of parents, such as: Central Government employees, Armed Forces personnel, State Government employees, and Employees of Public Sector Undertakings (PSUs) and autonomous bodies.
