Official Circular Cites Safety Concerns

In a circular issued on July 5, 2026, the university stated that all July 6 examinations have been deferred in view of the IMD's forecast of heavy to very heavy rainfall, with the possibility of extremely heavy showers in certain areas. The notice added that the decision accounts for the safety and convenience of students who could face travel disruptions due to waterlogging and traffic congestion.

Revised Schedule To Be Announced Soon

The university has asked students to regularly check its official portal for the revised examination schedule and to avoid relying on unofficial sources for updates. Affiliated colleges, students, and concerned departments have been asked to take note of the changed arrangements as the institution continues monitoring the weather before finalising new dates.

Relief For Thousands Of Students

With weather conditions expected to remain challenging, authorities have urged residents to avoid unnecessary travel and follow official advisories. The postponement is expected to bring relief to thousands of students who were originally scheduled to appear for exams on Monday, with further announcements to follow on the university's website.
