If two or more candidates get the same marks in NEET UG 2025 result, then their rank will be determined according to the tie breaking rule. The rules made by the National Testing Agency (NTA) for this are as follows:

1. Higher Subject-Specific Marks: Candidates securing higher marks in Biology (Botany and Zoology) will be given priority.
2. Marks in Chemistry: If the marks in Biology are the same, then the candidates scoring higher marks in Chemistry will be given priority.
3. Marks in Physics: If the marks in Biology and Chemistry are the same, then the candidate scoring higher marks in Physics will be given priority.
4. Number of wrong answers: If the marks in Physics, Chemistry and Biology are the same, then the candidate giving fewer wrong answers will be given priority.
5. Age: If the marks in all subjects are same and the number of wrong answers is also same, in such a case the candidate with older age will be given preference.

Last year i.e. in 2024, NEET UG exam was conducted on 5th May and the results were declared on 4th June. Then more than 23.33 lakh candidates appeared in the exam, including 13,34,940 female candidates, 9,98,205 male candidates and 17 third gender candidates.
