CBSE Board Exam 2027 Date Sheet: Is the Timetable Delayed?
Last year, the CBSE released the tentative Class 10 and 12 board exam timetable on September 24, while the final date sheet followed on October 30. This year, however, there has been no official confirmation about when the schedule will arrive. The delay has left many students and parents anxious, as they are eager to plan their preparation around the exam dates.
How to Download the Date Sheet
Once the CBSE publishes the timetable, students can follow a few simple steps. First, visit cbse.gov.in and open the examination circulars or latest notice section. Then locate the notification for the Class 10 and 12 Board Examinations 2027 and open the official PDF. Check the class, subject code, subject name, exam date and timing carefully, and download and save the file for future reference.
No Change in Paper Pattern and Passing Marks
The board has clarified that there will be no change in the question paper design or assessment pattern for the 2026-27 academic session. The passing criteria also remain the same as last year. Students must secure at least 33 per cent marks in each subject as well as in aggregate to pass the examinations.
Two Board Exams for Class 10
From the 2026 academic session, and in line with the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020, the CBSE conducts two board examinations for Class 10 every year. This gives eligible students an additional opportunity to improve their performance.
