The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) has officially released the timetable for the January 2027 Chartered Accountancy examinations. The published schedule covers both the CA Foundation and CA Intermediate courses, with all papers scheduled to take place in the first half of January 2027.
According to the ICAI, the examination timetable will remain valid even if a public holiday is subsequently declared by the Central Government, State Government, or local administration on any of the scheduled exam dates.
CA Foundation January 2027 Exam Dates:
The CA Foundation examinations will take place on January 3, 5, 7, and 9, 2027. The exam duration and paper timings vary depending on the subject:
Papers 1, 2: Held from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM (3 hours). Candidates will be granted a 15-minute advance reading window (1:45 PM to 2:00 PM).
Papers 3, 4: Held from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM (2 hours). Candidates will not receive advance reading time for these two papers.
CA Intermediate January 2027 Examination Timetable:
The CA Intermediate examination will be conducted across two distinct groups:
Group 1: Scheduled for January 2, 4, and 6, 2027.
Group 2: Scheduled for January 8, 10, and 12, 2027.
All six Intermediate papers will run for a three-hour duration from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM IST. Candidates will receive an additional 15 minutes of advance reading time before the commencement of the exam, running from 1:45 PM to 2:00 PM.
Examination Application Submission Schedule:
The online submission window for the ICAI CA examination application form starts on 3rd November 2026, allowing candidates to register and complete their details without paying any late fees.
