PM-YASASVI Scheme: The Central Government of India continues to expand educational infrastructure and financial assistance for students belonging to Other Backward Classes (OBCs), Economically Backward Classes (EBCs), and Denotified, Nomadic, and Semi-Nomadic Tribes (DNTs) through the PM Young Achievers Scholarship Award Scheme for Vibrant India (PM-YASASVI). Speaking on the scheme's overall progress, Union Minister of Social Justice and Empowerment Dr. Virendra Kumar stated that Rs 15,555.53 crore has been released across various components between 2014-15 and 2025-26, supporting over 1,069 lakh beneficiaries nationwide.
The comprehensive scheme is structured to reduce school dropout rates, promote higher education continuity, and offer financial backing to meritorious candidates. By integrating pre-matric and post-matric financial grants, hostel infrastructure creation, and top-class educational benefits at both school and college levels, PM-YASASVI aims to bridge socio-economic gaps and ensure equal learning opportunities across the country.
