UGC-NET 2026 Re-Exam Result: The National Testing Agency (NTA) has released the results and final answer key for the UGC NET June Re-Exam 2026 held on September 9 and 10, 2026. Candidates who appeared for the English, Commerce, and Sociology tests can now download their scorecards from nta.ac.in using their application number and password. The re-exam was held after NTA received several complaints related to factual errors in English, Commerce, and Sociology. Following this, an NTA-constituted committee conducted the investigation and found factual, topographical, and typographical errors, and translation errors, incorrect names and book titles, grammatical and punctuation mistakes, non-standard terminology, and repetition of questions. Subsequently, the agency decided to re-conduct these three papers instead of merely dropping questions.

UGC-NET 2026 Re-Exam Result Statistics 2026
The re-examination for the three papers was held across 272 cities at 454 examination centres. English and Commerce papers were held on September 9, while the Sociology test was conducted on September 10, 2026. A total of 1,96,491 candidates have registered for the three subjects, out of which 1,20,355 appeared for the tests. Among the qualified candidates, 824 qualified for JRF, 11,610 for Assistant Professor, and 23,154 for PhD only.
