School Receives Bomb Threat: Panic spread across parts of Mohali on Tuesday morning when several schools received emails threatening to blow up their campuses. Police evacuated the schools as a precaution and launched a search operation. Officials said the threat email also mentioned Fortis Hospital in Mohali, where Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann is currently admitted, prompting increased security.
As per the officials, "The bomb threat to schools also mentioned the Fortis Hospital in Mohali, where we conducted anti-sabotage checks. Non-essential services were kept on hold while essential services continued," a senior police official said in Mohali.

Bomb Threats in Mohali Schools Turned Hoax:
Sixteen private schools in Mohali received bomb threat emails on Tuesday, prompting the schools to be evacuated and police to conduct thorough anti-sabotage checks. However, after a thorough search, no suspicious or explosive materials were found at any of the locations. This new threat comes on the heels of similar threats received at schools in Chandigarh, Amritsar, Jalandhar, Patiala, and Haryana. All of the threats turned out to be false.
Bomb Disposal Squads Deployed:
Mohali SSP Harmandeep Singh Hans said that despite the possibility that the threat is unreliable, the police are taking no chances. Bomb disposal squads and sniffer dog teams have been deployed at the hospital and nearby educational institutions.
SP Dilpreet Singh said that a thorough search operation is underway to prevent any potential threats. Dilpreet said that cyber teams are also investigating the source of the threatening message to identify those responsible. DSP Harsimran Singh Bal appealed to the public to remain calm and not spread rumors while the investigation is underway.
Security agencies are continuing their verification and search operations, so further information is awaited.
